Dollis Hill: About the area
This diverse borough shares a postal code with its big sister, Cricklewood and is nestled between Neasden and Willesden. Dollis Hill is a multi-ethnic North West London residential area primarily made up of Edwardian terraced and 1920 and 30s semi-detached houses.
Residing on top of a hill in leafy Zone 3, it benefits from proximity to the charming Gladstone Park, which has been welcoming visitors since 1901. This open space enjoys beautiful tree-lined avenues, eight new state-of-the-art tennis courts and football pitches. You’ll also find a children’s playground, duck pond, walled flower garden, and two cafés.
Set to enhance the surrounding areas is the Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration Programme, an ambitious growth project to reshape the underused industrial area into a modern residential cityscape, and one of North West London’s top destinations for living, leisure, retail and business.
Fun fact: The code-breaking Colossus machine used at Bletchley Park to help win World War II was built and operated in Dollis Hill in 1943. This residential enclave is also the location of the standby bomb-proof bunker earmarked for Winston Churchill and his staff.
